Renewal, Local Scenery and Community
1-5 April 2026
Acacia Bay Taupō
An opportunity to connect with like-minded yogis from our community while developing your practice at this beautiful, accessible retreat centre. Enjoy a picturesque road trip to Acacia Bay, perfectly timed for a long weekend reset around Good Friday (departing earlier on Wednesday and returning on Sunday to avoid traffic). Taupō is scenically stunning and we can explore local scenic walks, the lake and enjoy thermal hot pools.
This five-day Yoga Retreat is suitable for level 1, 2 and 3 Iyengar yoga students who have a desire to deepen their understanding of the practice.

The Venue
Tauhara Retreat Centre www.tauharacentre.org.nz
Tauhara is a beautiful and well loved retreat centre, offering a peaceful escape with expansive views over Lake Taupō. Inside the main buildings there are warm and welcoming communal spaces to gather, connect, and relax throughout the day. The grounds are open and spacious, with a network of bush tracks that invite gentle walks, quiet reflection, and time immersed in nature, with scenic outlooks across the lake and surrounding landscape.
At the heart of the centre is The Sanctuary, a distinctive seven sided building overlooking the lake, dedicated to silent meditation and stillness. Accommodation is simple and comfortable, with single rooms available across cabins, cottages, bunkrooms, and two charming caravans. With ample time and space to unwind, whether resting, wandering the grounds, or curling up with a book, Tauhara offers an ideal setting to slow down and reset. We will have exclusive use of this serene and special venue throughout the retreat.
